Technology in the 2010s The 2010s decade was not as impactful as the previous decades when it comes to technology, but there were still a few breakthroughs that have been introduced. At the start of the decade, Apple was already selling over 250 million Apple iPods. Social media has been prevalent in the 2010s, and Facebook has surpassed Google when it comes to website visits per year.
